Wonderful hand-painted Wakasa chopsticks with swirls of reds and golds over dark wood chopsticks with black tips. Every pair is unique and full of life. The chopsticks have a base of Malas wood (Homalium tomentosum), harvested in Papua New Guinea....

This is one of the most elegant and beautiful pair of chopsticks I own. The hand painted design is nestled beneath a generous and enhancing lacquer. There is almost a depth to the design. The pictures do not do these chopsticks justice. Much more beautiful in person. Simply stunning. These sticks are not a light set either. Has a little weight to handle easier. While the textured tips go a little higher than I like, they can easily pick up and hold from the smallest bite to a man-sized mouthful. This set deserves a protection sleeve.
