The special Kenzuri chopsticks are hand shaped to a rough hewn finish. Made of Manikara wood which has a deep brown color. Entirely finished with natural Urushi lacquer. The rough hewn shape provides a pleasing grip when holding the chopsticks making them easier to handle. The tips continue the hand-shaped look and provide a natural texture for gripping food. In Japanese the hand shaped finish is called “scraping”. This initial shaping is performed in Vietnam with the final finish work done in Japan. The gold symbol is the hieroglyph of the Hyozaemon company. Chopsticks are 9.25 inches long. Hand made in Obama, Japan.
